Our State-of-the-Art Facility

With a completely renovated 29,000-square-foot animal hospital in Brewster, New York, our facility serves pet owners and referring veterinarians throughout Putnam, Dutchess, Westchester, Orange, Rockland and Bronx counties in New York, Fairfield County in Connecticut—and beyond.

This modern, full-service facility includes:

Three surgery suites
14 exam rooms
A sophisticated intensive care unit
An isolation ward
Complete in-house diagnostic laboratory
Comprehensive onsite diagnostic imaging capabilities including MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound and digital x-ray
Separate chemotherapy and endoscopy areas
A dedicated inpatient feline ward and separate feline waiting room area
A large rehabilitation center with a custom-designed, full-size therapy pool
Custom-designed private room for owners to visit their pets
In addition, we have a private, graciously appointed comfort room for those times when pet owners must make the difficult decision to let their pets go. Thanks to the generosity of a caring benefactor, pet owners have a serene setting in which to spend some peaceful last moments with their beloved pet and say goodbye.

At Guardian Veterinary Specialists, we’re serious about giving back and making high-quality veterinary care accessible to as many pets as possible. That’s why we offer registered nonprofit animal shelters and rescue groups a generous 50% discount on our medical and surgical services.

We also support the region’s primary care veterinarians by sharing resources, ideas and knowledge—including through continuing education. This, in turn, helps them to help their patients and pet-owner clients.

Collaborating with referring veterinarians to ensure their patients have fast, easy access to advanced care.
